-Criminology has been defined as studying why people commit crimes and why they behave in certain situations.
-Criminologists, who analyze the certain factors to study and find connections on the reasons behind crimes that are committed, may ask what triggered the issue, and what they can do to help prevent it
-Certain factors can be social concerns, examining the background of the criminal

-Childhood impact, "cycle of violence" is a scenario when children who were treated with neglect/abuse from their family, often will most likely treat other people that way, including future children.
-Starting crimes can come from influence, like in my novel, My Bloody Life, the only reason why Sanchez started being involved in dangerous actions, like violence and drugs, is because members from his gangs mostly talked him into it, or he would be considered a coward.
-The use of drugs and alcohol can influence a decision to commit a crime, also includes danger to the victim if they are involved with drugs/alcohol. Drugs and alcohol have the impact of weakened judgement and discouragement of what is good and bad behavior.

-The continuous will to keep committing the same crime over, and over again.
-Every criminal desires different aspects. Having desire for attaining material, like money, leads to property crimes such as robberies and burglaries. Wanting the desire for control and vengeance leads to violent aspects of crime such as murders. Violent crimes are often occurred on the impulse of the moment when emotions are triggered, while property crimes are more thought out and planned in advance.

Furthermore, this theory acts as an explanation that one who commits crime does not know the consequences of their actions.

-Profilers usually study the crimes where the criminal’s identity is yet unknown and usually work on crime series where a collection of crimes has been done with the same offender.
-Criminology focuses more on the study of the science behind why the action of crime was committed

“Criminologists believe that this is because during the summer, people tend to spend more time outside, or they are away on vacation and act a bit more carefree. According to Siegel, the rise in temperature may also add to stress and tension caused by the heat; extreme temperatures causes the body to generate stress hormones, which research has linked to aggression” (Jordan).
“...the development of an investigation by means of obtainable information regarding an offence and crime scene to compile a psychosomatic representation of the known architect of the crime ” (Abumere 1).
